Douglas Fir Burl Wall Clock

douglas fir burl wall clock

While cutting Douglas fir beams for a friend's house (Roy used to work as a sawyer), Roy found a burl in one of the logs. The friend also wanted a clock, and we decided that incorporating a burl that was also in some of the beams of his house was a nice touch.

The clock is a tavern style pendulum constructed of cherry with the burl used as the panel behind the pendulum. The dial is a 7" white styrene dial with Arabic numerals behind a glass bezel. The clock uses a quartz movement powered by a C battery.
