Hardwood Cutting Boards

When you have a busy woodworking shop, wood scraps tend to pile up. What to do with all that pretty wood? Here's one solution: hardwood cutting boards! These cutting boards are made from pieces of wood that normally would have been disposed of or burned because they were too short or too thin for other projects. Used to make these attractive cutting boards, they're just right.

Every cutting board we make is different! Each cutting board is approximately 16 inches long by 10 inches wide. These measurements will vary somewhat, as will the thickness. The boards usually will be between 5/8 inch and 1 inch thick. The woods will vary on each board as well, and depend entirely on what leftover woods we have available. Some of the woods that may be used include: maple, reclaimed Brazilian cherry, alder, American cherry, reclaimed mahogany, oak, and walnut.
