The modern-day answer to the traditional sofa bed, this futon frame can make a very comfortable couch and a very sleepable queen size bed. Conversion from one to the other is quite easy, and without all the metal hardware, it is considerably lighter than the traditional sofa bed. This futon frame is an adaptation of an Arts & Crafts design. The arms, bars and feet are walnut. The basic frame is 1 1/2" thick cherry. The internal frame for the futon is solid oak. The frame breaks down into more manageable pieces for moving.
