Kokopelli has been a sacred figure in what is now the southwestern United States for thousands of years. He is a fertility deity, a trickster, and a musician important to many Native American tribes. In one form or another, Kokopelli is often seen in the Four Corners area (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona) where Laughing Coyote Woodworks used to live.
Tales of Kokopelli’s powers and adventures are many, and his charismatic personality is continually being redefined. Click on the items below to see ways that we have been asked to portray the humpbacked flute player.
