Sadly, in making this fireplace bellows, we ran across a flaw in the curly redwood that we could not sand out. Instead, we used wood filler to fill the flaw and then sanded it smooth. This bellows will work just as well as any of our other fireplace bellows, which is very well. The wound and repair is only cosmetic, but we didn't want to charge full price, due to the imperfection.
