Tiger Maple and Poplar Menorah

A customer in New York City contacted us about the ash and redwood menorah we made for our friends in Philadelphia. He is a collector of menorahs of primarily contemporary design and wondered if we would be willing to make one for him.

As luck would have it, we had a partially completed menorah that Roy had started making out of tiger maple and stained poplar.

Looking at photos of the menorah-in-progress, our customer decided he would like the oil cups to be made of handblown glass, and put us in touch with Gabriel Bass, an American glass sculptor and furnituremaker living in Israel, who we were delighted to work with in creating this piece. The cups are made of green borosilicate glass.
